The expression of CD99 is observed on the cell membrane of lymphocytes, cortical thymocytes, granulosa cells, and most pancreatic islet cells. It is reported that CD99 can serve a sensitive marker for Ewing’s sarcoma and peripheral neuroectodermal tumors.
